Job Opportunities

Youth Worker ( 1 Part-time Position )
(Hour Rate: $14.25/hrs , per week 14 hours, the total is 20 weeks )

Tasks:
• Plan and implement Summer Camp activities for camper age 5 to 12 both online and onsite as directed by CEFS Centre’s board directors
• Manage the summer camp budget
• Guide and teach a range of indoor and outdoor activities (arts, handcrafts, learning, sprots and games etc.)
• Organize the weekly field trip
• Ensure camper safety and monitor their activities
• Set up and ensure recreation equipment is secure and stored properly
• Supervise campers during meals
• Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks
• Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
• May perform administrative tasks (registration, take attendances, write injury report) as needed

Responsibility:
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable in a team-player role
• Creative and innovative thinker and planner
• Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Protect and secure the clients’ confidential information
• Speak Mandarin or Cantonese preferred

Program Co-ordinator (4 Full time position):
Funded by the Government of Canada Summer Jobs Grant

(Hour Rate: $15/hrs , per week 35 hours, and the total 8 weeks starting on June 28, 2022)

Tasks:
• Support planning, implementing, and evaluating Summer Camp activities
• Support in guiding and teaching a range of outdoor and indoor activities for campers
• Supervise campers during meals
• Support weekly a field trip
• Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks
• Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
• May perform administrative tasks (attendances, record keeping, etc.) as needed

• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Age is between 15 and 30 years at the start of employment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative and innovative thinker and planner
• Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Strict adherence to the Centre’s standards
• Protect and secure the clients’ confidential information


Administrative Assistant (1 Part-time Position )
(Hour Rate: $15/hrs , per week 35 hrs , the total 8 weeks starting on May 16, 2022)

Requirements:
• Update the membership information and keep the records confidentially
• Support to update CEFS Centre Website
• Create CEFS Centre’s program posters and flyers
• Support the staff in the summary of the monthly program statistics
• Support the staff to process electronic documents
• Support translating and interpreting the letters and forms for the senior members
• Assist the staff to fill out various forms for seniors such as OAS, GIS, CPP, PR card renewal, etc.

Qualifications:
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Age is between 15 and 30 years at the start of employment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable in a team-player role
• Creative and innovative thinker and planner
• Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Strict adherence to the Centre’s standards
• Protect and secure the clients’ confidential information

Community Service Worker (1 Full-time position)
(Hour Rate: 15/hrs.  per week 35hrs. the total 8 weeks starting June 27, 2022)

Requirements:
• Support the staff to deliver physical, social, and educational programs for senior programs both online and in-person
Support senior online workshops and take program attendances
• Support the staff in the summary of the monthly program statistics
• Support to create of the program’s evaluation forms, videos, posters, and flyers
• Organize the senior day trips
• Work with the volunteers to set up community assessment for senior group
• Support the CEFS Centre’s community events
• Support seniors in interpreting and translating the letters and program materials

Qualifications:  
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Age is between 15 and 30 years at the start of employment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
